The Pirates join Pack and Paddle, RFAR (Recess for Active Retirees) and native plant specialist, Mike LaTour Monday 10 AM May 15th 2023 for a stroll along the   1 mile long boardwalk ( 2 mile R-T)  at Grassy Waters Preserve, 8264 Northlake Blvd., West Palm Beach. This beautiful preserve consists of 23 acres of wetlands which filter West Palm Beach’s water supply. Mike will point out a variety of native plants along the way with uses by native Floridians. Bring a picnic lunch( leave in your car) to eat afterward along the waterfront at picnic tables with umbrellas or under the chickee shelters.

Grassy Waters is less than an a mile west of the intersection of BeeLine Highway and Northlake Blvd, on the south side of the road. Look in the median for the marker. FYI ..People have had issues in the past with the GPS. Check the map location as this is on Northlake Blvd.

We’ll meet at the boardwalk entrance just at the edge of the parking lot. Mike is wearing the white cowboy hat!
